Our favourite place to stay in Bacalar. Great location, Clean, Staff are amazing, especially Perla and the lady that does the housekeeping. We have stayed there twice already and are booked for our third visit soon. The rooms are really nicely decorated and the pool is great. We originally chose this hotel as it was one of the only hotels in Bacalar to provide a travel cot/crib for babies in the room. The attached restaurant offers amazing breakfasts and you get 20% off everything on the menu at any time for being hotel guests. Very highly recommend Poza Clara!
Great stay at Poza Clara, the superior balcony room was great. Bed is a little hard but manageable. Location is close to resturants and excursions. Pool is nice at sundown.
Friendly and welcoming staff who take great care of the hotel and the guests. We stayed in the junior suite with a fridge, a small stove, and a big balcony. A great central location, it is a short and pleasant walk to most of the amenities and attractions in Bacalar. I wouldn't change a thing,
A very cosy hotel with a pool, nice staff and a rich, very tasty breakfast (fruit and for example either scrambled eggs or pancakes) + coffee and fresh orange juice. Our room (junior suite) was a very good size, with a small kitchen with a fridge, plates, glasses and cutlery such as a stove and pots and pans and a very lovely large balcony with a hammock, chair and cosy wicker bench. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, night lights and sockets on both sides are available the internet works very well and there is hot water. Everything perfect and we felt very comfortable. 100% recommendation!
Actually found this place as a blessing in disguise. We initially wanted a hotel next door but they were booked out and decided to try this hotel and what a surprise it was! It looked very elegant and one would think they would be asking a heavy price tag only to find out it was slightly cheaper than the other hotel we wanted. From the outside everything looked classy and elegant which reflected the rooms as they were very clean and cozy with 2 beds, air conditioning, closet area, a Samsung Smart TV (32 inch) mounted, and a poolside view. Another convenient thing is it's location as it's nearby the lagoon with around a 2min walk to book tours to visit the various Cenotes and lakes via a boat and the other direction of the hotel leads directly to the large Central Park with surrounding restaurants. Highly recommend Poza Clara Sanctuary if you ever end up in Bacalar as the quality and the price is the right mix.
What a surprise this little (6 rooms) hotel was, with a restaurant, bar, pool and 3 block away from the lagoon municipal water park (U$1 for person). But what we like the most where 3 things, the helpful personal, rooms very clean and the thing that I love the morning alarms set between 6 and 7:45 am, tons of birds singing! What a delight!!! BTW try to ask for room 6, with the palm roof, the sound of the birds on top of the roof signing it's soooo clear that you can bet they are inside the room! The included breakfast it's good, fruit, one bread, natural juice and coffee, but if you are not full by this, you can ask for some chilaquiles with eggs.
We enjoyed our stay at Poza Clara! Room was clean and A/C worked wonderfully. Great location near the centre of town. Only problem was that I booked because they said they had parking but when we got there at 2pm for check-in I was told the lot was full, so we needed up having to park on a tight street nearby. As someone who has gotten a car hit from street parking before I wasn’t super happy about that. Otherwise, lovely place and super close to good restaurants.
We absolutely loved our stay. It is located in a centralized location, it’s not on the water but it’s within walking distance and they offer free parking. Our room was clean and had plenty of space and it also had a small kitchen of you decide to stay in and cook. We had a beautiful balcony that allowed us to enjoy the sounds of the town. The free breakfast was amazing and delicious. They didn’t skimp on breakfast and their pasties are made in house. I only wish they had bigger pillows. We’ll definitely stay here again.
